Our 50th anniversary celebrations continue in Hong Kong 17801555295_8199d14fd7_o 17801576035_2a5d97f5ea_o 17802064791_12094a8984_oMore than 80 alumni turned up at the scenic Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club ready to commemorate the anniversary as a community. Mr Robin Ng, Advisor and Founding President of NUS Business School Mandarin Alumni and Mr Yeo Keng Joon, Past President of MBA Alumni-NUS and NUS Business School Alumni Association, even flew in especially for this event.

Since the event was planned to coincide with the MBA Global Immersion Programme, 15 MBA students were able to join our Hong Kong alumni for the celebration. Professor Bernard Yeung, Stephen Riady Distinguished Professor and Dean of NUS Business School, expressed his pleasure at meeting some of our recent graduates during the gathering and hearing their success stories.

The highlight of the event for many was the forum, which featured insightful presentations on the future of Asia’s economy in relation to China, a timely topic given China’s influence in the region. Moderated by President of the Hong Kong Alumni Chapter Mr Kwik Sam Aik (BAcc 1973), the forum featured corporate guest Mr Jimmy Koh and committee members from the Hong Kong Alumni Chapter, Mr Tan Yong Wah (Apex MBA English 2000) and Mr David Wong (BBA 1977). Attendees were keen to gain a first-hand perspective of Hong Kong’s business landscape, and many of their questions during the Q&A session focussed on career opportunities present in the region.

We would like to extend our appreciation to the Hong Kong Alumni Chapter, without which the gathering would not have been possible, as well as everyone who turned up and made the celebration a success!
