NUS welcomed back her “outgoing salmons” at the New NUS Alumni Welcome Lunch held on 12 July 2008 at the NUSS Kent Ridge Guild House.
Aptly themed “Stay Connected”, the event featured avenues through which new alumni can continue to maintain their ties with their alma mater.
The Class Ambassador Initiative was one such avenue. The initiative would see selected graduated students from each faculty liaising with the NUS Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) to maintain links between their respective cohorts and NUS.
The OAR also announced the launch of IV-Sigma Program organised by NUS Extension and consultancy firm, Strategic Moves for new alumni to promote lifelong learning.
Apart from being impressed by the initiatives, Business School Class Ambassadors also expressed delight at being back on campus among familiar faces and remembering their experience at NUS Business School.
Mr Darren Ho (BBA 2008), Product Manager with L’Oréal Singapore, who was one of the new alumni at the event, appreciated his time at NUS,
“‘I’ve learnt soft skills like managing and functioning as a team while still being critical and business-minded. Now that I have graduated, I’m looking forward to staying connected with the school,” said Mr Ho.
